2013 14er Quest Results

During the summer/fall of 2013 I tried to summit all 75 points above 14,000' in Colorado. This included ranked 14ers as well as unranked sub-peaks. I kept this list going as a tab on my blog throughout the little project. This post is basically just moving the information from a tab to a blog post so that I may use the tab for something else.

Ranked 14ers: 49/53
Unranked 14ers included on most lists of ranked 14ers: 5/5
Other unranked 14ers: 14/17

  1. That's a heck of a year, and a lot of great days out in the mountains, eh? My favorite part of the 14er quest is going to new places, and you've done it in spades... Enjoyed the reports a lot.

    1. Yeah, it was a pretty special summer up high. Hopefully I can keep a similar pattern going this coming summer. I'll likely be out in the Telluride area all summer so I'll be exploring as much of the San Juans as possible. I'll likely do the Chicago Basin group from Purgatory at least once a month. That was definitely one of my favorite places of the entire summer.

The funny thing about this past summer was that I had all these plans of going to the Tetons, SoCal, and other places. I never left the state of Colorado with the exception of a 100 miler in South Dakota. There is just way too much to see/do here in CO.

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the reports. Hopefully I can keep them coming once the high country opens up here in T-Ride.
